I got the fright of my life yesterday morning. Being half-term Eldest Child doesn't normally venture from her lair until at least lunchtime. Yesterday morning my bedroom door flew open at 7 am and she dashed in with her laptop under her arm in a state of high excitement. I jumped out of my skin, what on earth was happening, was she on drugs? No nothing so sinister although it did involve an addiction, namely her shopping addiction. She'd set her alarm so as not to miss the Mary Katrantzou capsule collection launching at Top Shop. She had the item in the shopping basket (a silk dry clean only blouse for £80 - don't even go there!) and needed a credit card number. After frantic pleading and insistence that she'd pay me back and to 'chill' about the dry cleaning bills I duly entered the numbers. Before the transaction was finished the item has gone out of stock. For the next 15 minutes she frantically kept trying but to no avail. The site sold out practically instantly. I am now encouraging all high street retailers to embark on designer collaborations as it enables me to see my daughter during daylight hours! If money is no object in your house here are some stunning Mary Katrantzou creations currently available at Stylebop.

This Mary Katrantzou Multicolor Floral Print Dress from Stylebop is so beautiful and easily distinguished as one of Katrantzou's creations. It's not surprising that she won the Emerging Talent Award at the British Fashion Awards.

I know you have all been in suspense since yesterday, waiting patiently to know what Father of the Children pulled out the bag for Valentine's Day. I'll get straight to the point. It wasn't good - a bunch of lilies - which if I'm not very much mistaken signify death! There were no red roses for passion and fiery love or even tulips representing undying love just deathly white lilies. Let's just say he won't be making that mistake ever again! It wasn't all doom and gloom though as Tegan Fashion, a stunning online only division of French Connection, joined the Must Get That stable yesterday. So without further ado here's a selection of my top picks from the exciting and innovative brand dedicated to affordable luxury.

I'm slightly apprehensive today. I read late last night that Britons are expected to spend £880 million on Valentine Day. Contrary to popular belief it's men who spend the vast majority of that money, spending a whopping £600 million. The top 10 gifts for ladies are seemingly 1. Flowers (as long as they are not chrysanthemums or carnations), 2. Chocolates (any sort), 3. Romantic meal (and no, a drive-thru does not fall into this category), 4. Perfume (yes please), 5. Cuddly toy (no thanks), 6. Night in a hotel (remember it's my treat so the hotel should not be located near a football ground), 7. Lingerie (if unsure of size buy too small rather than too big, we want laughter not tears), 8. UK Mini break (Travelodge commissioned the survey!) 9. Jewellery (remember you can never go wrong with diamonds) and 10. Beauty treatments (are you saying I need help in that department?). With the average spend being £39.99 I'm guessing some items must feature more than others. There's currently a lot of rustling going on in the garage so I dread to think what is going to appear in the next few minutes……….

This Maria Embroidered Dress in Mid Blue from Reiss is a sensational Fifties style dress with a wide neck, cap sleeves and a hand-embroidered floral bodice with a nipped in waist and softly pleated full skirt. I'm sure you'll agree it's breathtakingly beautiful.

Bear with me for a moment while I undo the button on my waistband. I read this morning that scientists have reported that eating chocolate cake with a full breakfast can help you lose weight. It seemingly aids brain functioning, boosts the metabolism and discourages snacking in the day. I must admit I felt fully alert immediately after my gluttonous breakfast but since then I have had to have a lie down and 3 hours later still feel like I'll never eat again, ever! Father of the Children says my big mistake was I ate the WHOLE cake, he said if I'd read on it must just have been a slice as the entire breakfast should have amounted to 600 calories. Oops, the whole Sara Lee Double Chocolate Layer Cake has 2,080 calories alone! I think I'll just stick to the usual muesli tomorrow morning and a few sit-ups. It won't surprise you to hear I'm not featuring clothes today as nothing fits! Thank heavens for these gorgeous bags and purses from Lulu Guinness to brighten my day.

I believe that some passengers on an easyJet plane travelling from Hamburg to Gatwick recently saw rather more on their flight than they'd bargained for. A male passenger seemingly stripped off in the loo before striding naked down the aeroplane and returning to his seat. No amount of coaxing by crew or passengers could persuade him to cover up so he remained in his birthday suit for the remainder of the flight. Fortunately he was allowed to keep his tray table down during landing! What drove him to this act I wonder? The only explanation I can possibly give is that he got dressed in the dark and on seeing his ensemble in the bright lights of the inflight loo immediately realised his outfit was horrific so he was driven to ditch it. I still wince at the time I found myself out and about with one black shoe and one blue shoe on. I immediately panicked that Father of the Children, often prone to a slight bit of exhibitionism, had been in Germany last week but he insists he was in Munich and not Hamburg. To spare the gentleman in question any further embarrassment here are some splendid items from mustgetthat to add to his somewhat depleted wardrobe.

I've missed a trick. The newspapers today are reporting on an artist who has received £10,000 of lottery funding to film herself for 10 minutes every day at the same time and in the same spot. She will ultimately edit her 'emotional journey' of 61 hours of footage down into a 20 minutes short film. Although the Loch scene behind will I'm sure be riveting to watch over the year if I were her I would have done it in the warmth and comfort of my own home. I also think she should possibly have put a bit more thought into her attire. In the head shots I've seen so far she's worn a pink t-shirt, a purple t-shirt, a body warmer and a pink hoodie. If I were her I would have written to fashion houses alerting them to her daily 10 minute 'aarrghh what shall I wear?' crisis and they may have assisted in some way. Here are 6 tops which may help to spice up the film footage slightly.

This Vaity Lace Block Top from French Connection is a sweet vintage inspired piece. We're loving the contrast Peter Pan collar and covered button fastenings at the back. The feminine top will look great worn with a black cami underneath and teamed with chic black trousers or a pencil skirt.

Bbbrrhh it's freezing here, I don't know what it's like in your neck of the woods but I'm struggling to keep cosy. I went out for a 6 mile walk first thing this morning with a girlfriend as part of our Moonwalk training. With the temperature gauge showing -5 degrees the thought of wandering around London in a bra in 14 weeks time was the furthest thing from my mind. I went for the warm, practical look this morning and fortunately I don't think anyone recognised me. I borrowed Eldest Child's ski thermals and they worked a treat. I did mention to my friend though that if I was run over I would be much obliged if she could whip the grey thermal long johns off from under my tracksuit before the ambulance arrived! Here are some stunning thermals currently available online which will transform the Arctic days ahead!

Father of the Children has been away in Munich for the last couple of days. I'm shortly due to leave the house to collect him and I'm rather anxious. He called me yesterday asking me what size I was in European figures. My heart sank. This would imply he may be contemplating buying me something to wear. I don't mean to sound ungrateful but he has form, so much so that he's been banned from buying me anything on business trips! I have a drawer full of rejected items. Don't gasp at my ungratefulness, they were hideous and nobody I know would have accepted them far less worn them. We have the solar system polyester scarf, endless items of underwear that would fit a teeny tiny Barbie doll, the Peter Rabbit jumper…I'm shuddering at the memories. Nestled in amongst the clothes are also pieces of jewellery that have to be seen to be believed and of course there's the Paris famous landmarks candle which currently holds number one spot. I wonder if it'll be knocked off it's pedestal later?

Researchers in America are now claiming that Facebook and Twitter are more addictive than cigarettes and alcohol! According to a study of people's everyday desires, sleep and 'extra curricular activities' (Father of the Children's parental control won't let me type the 3 letter word!) were the two things people longed for most in the day but urges to keep on top of social networks were the hardest to resist! In contrast alcohol and tobacco prompted much lower levels of desire. During the day our constant efforts to resist temptation seemingly saps our willpower which makes cravings even stronger. The researchers don't mention where home shopping comes in the list of everyday desires - what do you mean I'm alone on that one? It can't just be me, can it?

I've had a disastrous day today, quite simply awful. I won't bore you with the details but it's been one of those days when the temptation to climb back into bed and shut the curtains at about 11 a.m. was extremely hard to fight. Imagine my complete disbelief then when I found out that today is Happy Monday, the first happy day of the year according to psychologists. Seemingly we all go into work on Monday 30th January "with renewed vigour" as we've had our first pay cheque of the new year and many of us have seemingly booked our Summer holidays. My only problem with this is that if today is the first happy day of the year and I feel like this what am I going to feel like on the most depressing day of the year? Off to ponder over a truckload of chocolate and a vat of wine.

Things are getting serious. Moira Stuart has gone from green to red. She's now shouting at me from my Sunday newspapers informing me that "Time is running out". My self assessment tax return is screaming out to be completed by the end of the month. Long term readers will know we have the same tears and tribulations every year. Father of the Children seems to think it's something I should be capable of doing myself and as an adult I should be responsible for filling in my own online form. I don't want to do it though as I'm so scared I fill it in wrong. If he fills it in for me and it's wrong I'll go to jail but it won't be my fault but if I do it myself and get it wrong I only have myself to blame. We've reached a stale mate but I feel sure he'll melt first, how would he possibly cope without me? Here are some wonderful times form Ted Baker to take my mind off Moira!

I've been to hell and back today. Right now I'm lying in a drunken stupor recovering. What have I been up to I hear you ask? Only clothes shopping with Father of the Children for the first (and last time) in 3 years! It was hell on earth. How can it take so long to try on clothes? In the length of time he bought a solitary suit and a pair of boots I could have bought my entire SS12/AW12 collection! Home shopping is most definitely the answer, why on earth did I not think of it earlier? It won't surprise you to hear he's ended up buying everything that was on mustgetthat in the first place!

You could cut the atmosphere at Must Get That Towers with a knife this afternoon. The patient is wearing my patience extremely thin. He was lying recuperating so I thought I'd put him to good use and asked him to find out something for me. Rather than quickly stopping watching sport on his iPad and eagerly assisting me he asked why I didn't just google it myself. I responded that as he was somewhat more idle at that exact moment in time he may find it easier than me. He then proceeded to send me this link - called 'let me google that for you'. Their blurb says it's "For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than google it for themselves". He thinks it's really funny, I don't. The quicker he's vertical and back at his desk the better!

This Orange Short Sleeve Jersey Dress by Sessùn from Liberty is sensational. The mid length jersey dress features a round neckline with exposed seam detail, short sleeves and a plaited leather waist belt with a buckle fastening. It also comes in blue and both look so divine we're torn.

Pretty feminine florals are going to be everywhere this SS12 so this Spring Tea Dress from Boden caused a flurry of interest when it sailed across our screen. The hardest part is choosing which of the 4 colours to go for, after much deliberation I think I've chosen, have you?.

Spring Tea Dress

Well how has your weekend gone? Ours at Must Get That Towers hasn't exactly gone to plan. Poor Father of the Children has been through the mill somewhat with his back surgery. He had a rather grim reaction to the general anaesthetic so the trials and tribulations of Friday are best glossed over. I did explain to him that I swear like a trooper when I come round from anaesthetic but that didn't make him feel much better as he says I swear like a trooper with no anaesthetic anyway - charming, i was only trying to help! He was released into my charge late on Friday night complete with rather fetching white knee high DVT socks. He insisted on getting up yesterday, came downstairs and promptly fainted and cut his head on the door frame! Since this failed break for freedom he has been a very good patient and has stayed pretty much horizontal. I must say all this nursing and caring has completely wiped me out. My nurses uniform is looking positively ragged with all the running up and down stairs with cups of tea, tasty treats and soothing words. I'm in full relaxed mode tonight so imagine how thrilled I was when I spied this wonderful selection of clothes in the sale at Hush.

It's 7 a.m. and I feel like I've been up for hours but that's because I have! Father of the Children has gone into hospital today for an operation on his back and I had to drop him off at the unsociable hour of 6.15 a.m. Walking around at 5.30 a.m. just isn't right is it? It's too late for being up from the night before but far too early for preparing for the day ahead. He has been unbearable for the last 24 hours though so I was quite glad to hand him over to someone else's care. You see he had received a letter from his Consultant which included the line "on examination the patient was found to be an extremely fit individual". Well this has been shown to everyone; relations, neighbours, passing strangers, even the UPS man. He went as far as printing it out and highlight the text which is a huge event for a man who lives and breathes in a paperless environment! His gloating was silenced temporarily by the Bee Gees track Tragedy coming on the radio as we pulled into the hospital car park…..let's just hope that wasn't an omen…..To keep my mind off the situation here are some stunning new season Great Plains items currently available from Sarah Coggles.

There was great excitement in the Must Get That office when we read yesterday of the planned Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant involving a 1,000 boat flotilla travelling from Putney to Tower Bridge. The seven-mile long procession of Dunkirk little ships, historic vessels, steam boats and tugs is already being prepared. I'm currently rubbing down the Must Get That bath tub in preparation and am looking out our nautical stripes. The flotilla will feature 20,000 people on the water so our attire to ensure we standout is key. London at the beginning of June may bear no resemblance to the French Riviera in August but I can guarantee that stripes will abound so without further ado here are some stunning nautical items that caught our eye today.

This Stripe Textured Nautical Cardigan from Oasis is a gem. Wear over a vest top and team with capri pants for a chic nautical look!

These Denim Sailor Shorts from Oasis are a smart little buy. Wear now under thick opaques and then when things hot up all that's required is a pair of tanned pins, and a top of course!

Father of the Children was scanning the newspaper this morning and announced in a shocked voice that take-aways (or carry-outs to those of us from North of the border) cost the average family £800 a year. What?? This cannot be true, can it? I promptly got the trusty abacus out and calculated that this works out at £15.38 a week. My £5.75 lamb dansak with a steamed rice at £2.40 brings my bill to £8.15. I'm not a mathematical genius but that leaves just £7.23 for the rest of the family to spend! How lucky I am that they have such tiny appetites. I've just worked out what our usual order costs and to my horror, if we had it every week, which I'm sure we don't, it would cost £1,788.80 a year! Just think of all the clothes I could have instead. With that shocking news we're embarking on a healthy eating/home cooking regime at Must Get That Towers and all money saved will naturally be being diverted into the essential clothing fund!

My jaw dropped when I spied this Lace Tile Print Dress from Oasis it's most definitely my dress of the day.... can't hang around, off to click and buy!

For those of you who have missed me for the last few days I apologise for my absence. I have been on an undercover mission in the garage and attic looking for evidence of my past. I have had to fill in a form which required information from eons ago which I couldn't for the life of me remember - namely school exams taken and grades received. The whole exercise proved extremely useful as not only did I discover, contrary to popular belief, that I did actually receive a formal education but I also found a box full of old love letters, photographs that I had no memory of at all and a newspaper report with me mentioned as a Ladies Rugby Captain - really?!

Yes you've guessed I did the MI5 online test, scored 6/8 and have been advised to apply for an MI5 intelligence officer role! They say that "Incisive intellect and finely balanced judgement are essential, as are outstanding verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to demonstrate resilience and the ability to cope with setbacks, as well as the ability to work well in a team and quickly establish rapport with a wide range of people. Analytical and highly organised, you will have a superb eye for detail, and the perfect balance of sensitivity and confidence. Discretion and integrity are also crucial qualities." Well that's me down to a tee isn't it? I work superbly with my team of one, namely Father of the Children, my written skills are legendary and my ability to cope with setbacks when my size in no long in stock is improving on a daily basis and as for that eye for detail, I can spot a Missoni a mile off…. the job is practically mine - no?!

This Stormy Fur Hood Coat from French Connection is divine. I love the back so much I had to share. The quilted zip up hood with faux-fur trim makes it a star buy.

All I can say is that goodness it's Friday, my week of alcohol abstinence is nearing an end. The whole thing has been wearing me down and obviously affecting my mental faculties. I read the headline in the newspaper "Drinkers urged to have two alcohol-free days". How fabulous I commented to Father of the Children. Where could I collect my free alcohol, were they giving out tokens and as he's teetotal do you think I could get his allocation too? He gave me a withering look, which I must say is becoming the norm, and urged me to read the headline again. Aaah I get it now….. but as Madame Bollinger once said "I drink champagne when I'm happy and when I'm sad. Sometimes I drink it when I'm alone. When I have company, I consider it obligatory. I trifle with it if I'm not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise I never touch it - unless I'm thirsty". Couldn't have said it better myself, bottoms up!

This Polly Lace Dress from Coast is the most beautiful lace dress, quite the most exquisite we've seen this season. The high neck, contrast grosgrain waistband detail and the deep V back make it a complete knockout!

Desperate times have called for desperate measures. Due to my complete lack of will power and greedy nature I completely over did it on all fronts this festive season. My body has quite simply gone to rack and ruin. In an effort to regain control of this mass called my body I have embarked on a fitness regime. I increased my running mileage yesterday and as a consequence puffed and panted through the front door like I was gasping my last. Father of the Children, a figures man, took one look at me and asked what my mileage rate was. I looked at the data on my phone and told him. He looked incredulously at me. Was I sure he queried? Of course I was, it said it in black and white. You see my rate seems to be only marginally slower than he does on his bike. He was stunned, he had an athlete in his midst! Even I started to panic slightly as I know I can easily walk 4 miles in an hour but if these figures were correct I was running at a phenomenal rate. After a closer look at the data, I was obviously blinded by sweat, I identified the problem. I was mixing the time it took me to run one mile with my miles per hour rate. So, lets just say for explanation purposes, 11 minutes to do 1 mile isn't quite the same as 11 miles an hour! Atrocious as it is at least I now have a target to beat! So without further ado, what to wear on my fitness quest is the big question. Who better to cater for my sporting needs than Sweaty Betty - it's what all the fit trendy people wear seemingly!

This voluminous shaped Soothe Tee from Sweaty Betty is a beautiful soft, cowl neck, long sleeved tee with long slim cuffs, thumbholes and a deep fitted waistband. Great for relaxing in when the workout is finished, or before it's started or even when you're merely pondering the idea of exercise!

Have you been Hermanned yet? If not, be on high alert your time will come! Accept no packages from friends. If you see someone walking up the garden path with a carrier bag pretend you are out; lie under the window, gag the dog, shut the curtains, whatever you do don't open the front door. If you are driving along and a friend is flagging you down while carrying a jam jar in her hand put your foot on the accelerator. Instruct your children to refuse any package slipped in to their school bag. If they let their guard down and find a package in their bag at going home time tell them to deposit it on the teachers desk and run.

A 'friend' presented me with a frothy, bubbling container on Friday along with an A4 sheet of instructions on feeding and caring for Herman. I have to stir this mass of goo every day and even feed it some days. It's the equivalent of a cake chain letter as on day 9 I am supposed to split the bubbling frothing mass and pass it on to 3 'friends' whilst making the delicious remnants into a cake for myself.

Father of the Children thinks it's hysterical as I normally chuck out anything a second past it's sell by date but here I am with a monster in the kitchen which is of no known origin. It could have been started years ago, people could have deposited anything in it, including snot, but not only am I stirring it and feeding it I'm also now talking to it! The smell of yeast filling the house is making us all lightheaded and it's not being cooked until Saturday! You have been warned…. I'm delivering my 'tokens of friendship' after dark and in disguise. Whilst I nurture the beast here are some stunning items from the new SS12 collection at Boden which have helped take my mind off the pressure and responsibility of keeping this monster alive!

This Deauville Jacket from Boden looks so 'good'. The honeycomb texture, cut and styling of it exudes charm and opulence. Choose between Lipstick, Milk, Navy and Pewter.

I was perusing the local College's website last night looking to broaden my experience and to see what was happening on the street so to speak. When I last looked it was all about watercolour art, origami animals, cordon bleu cooking, spreadsheet design and car mechanics. How things have changed…my local College is offering a 2 hour course on Saturday morning entitled "Walking in High Heels Safely". The cost of learning this life skill is £9. The days of wobbling endlessly up and down the corridor until you got the hang of it are obviously gone. I'm astounded that people out there are obviously willing to pay to be taught the art. It doesn't say whether heels are provided but at £4.50 an hour I am guessing you have to take your own Louboutins. Here's my pick of some fabulous footwear out there right now, no instructions on wear required.

These Abutilon Shoes from Pied A Terre are terribly glamorous and have a wonderful vintage look to them. The snake skin effect court shoe has a buckle ankle strap, a patent back feature and an elegant slim heel. They're definitely on our most wanted list.

Communication has dipped to an all time low at Must Get That Towers. Last night over supper, which I had spent a good 2 hours making as it was described as an "everyone loves it, it works every time" dish. Hey, you know what they didn't and it doesn't! Anyway, I digress, during this gastronomic delight mobiles starting buzzing and humming at the table. I launched into my usual…I hate BBM rant… to be met with the children telling me that it's only because I don't have a Blackberry. They then proceeded to download something called WhatsApp on my iPhone. Mid forkful I got a message from Father of the Children sitting opposite me enquiring "Alright Babes?" I beg your pardon? I'd like to make it clear here that we don't live in some grand baronial hall, he was sitting directly opposite me, at a push and if we really wanted to our knees could actually touch! Before I knew it we were having a wee silent banter across the table which truly hacked off the youngsters. I thoroughly recommend giving them some of their own medicine to let them know what it's like. I truly believe that from now on meal times will be text/instant message free!

I absolutely love this Wallis Black Bird Print Belted Dress. It not only looks amazing but what good value for such a stylish, on-trend piece!

No sooner had I heaved the Christmas tree out of the front door I find Father of the Children dragging it back in. He read an article yesterday about a chef in Copenhagen who is encouraging us to eat out Christmas trees. Having dusted Heston's mince pies with pine tree scented 'snow' over the festive season and then de-dusted them once I'd tasted them I remain unconvinced. Father of the Children seems to think we'll save a fortune on the weekly shopping bill. I have explained to him that beavers have huge front teeth for a reason and we are not designed to gnash through wood but no he's planning on freeze drying the pine needles. Quite what nutritional qualities this is going to provide a family of 4 I don't know and what items he's expecting to shave off the shopping list because of his new find heaven knows. All I do know is that there's a lot of clattering, sawing and swearing going on in the kitchen which is never a good sign……..

I should have been suspicious when Father of the Children announced we were bunking off this afternoon for a couple of hours. Shock horror, he wanted to take me out without any prompting. I merrily trotted off with him to find that having spent the entire Christmas period together he had obviously tired of my constant running commentary of life. Our hot date was to the silent movie, The Artist. Fortunately for him I have not taken offence, it was the best film I've seen this year. The most alarming thing is 'silent' is unbelievably quiet. At times I couldn't even swallow as the noise I made seemed to reverberate around the room. It's definitely not one to go to with your pick and mix and bag of chocolate eclairs. Anyway for a blissful 100 minutes we were returned to the silent movie era of 1927 and I dreamt I was Peppy Miller. If you do one thing this weekend, I implore you go and see this movie, you won't regret it I promise!

The Royal Mint have come to the rescue of football widows up and down the country. I conceded to Sky entering Must Get That Towers on the proviso that it wouldn't be permanently stuck on the football channel. It won't surprise you to hear that, although promises were made, all that's been on Sky since installation is football. There are two benefits to this, firstly I have seen far more athletic male torso's than I would normally see in December and January and secondly the offside rule is no longer a mystery to me as with football being on constantly it has entered my being by a process of osmosis. Worry not if it's still alien to you as a new 50p coin has been introduced showing a diagram explaining the offside rule. Once you get to grips with the fact that the teepee shape is playing the arch shape it all makes perfect sense. I am now going to be travelling to grounds up and down the land with my pockets full of 50p's handing them out to referees and their officials!

We've started out annual debate in Must Get That Towers about when Twelfth Night actually falls. I think the decorations need to be down by the evening of 5th January whereas other family members are pushing for the 6th January. According to tradition, it is unlucky to leave decorations up in the home beyond the end of the festive season, marked by Twelfth Night. It's also reported that anyone who forgets to take them down must leave them in place all year to avoid misfortune. Although I am exceedingly proud of the fact that the tree hasn't shed any needles yet I think I may be pushing my luck leaving it up for a further year! While I 'wikipedied' in an effort to swot up on Epiphany etiquette my eyes alighted on the fact that traditionally the punch called wassail is consumed especially on Twelfth Night. Being rather partial to a spot of warm mulled cider I may just spread the decoration dismantle over 2 nights!

These cobwebs are taking some blowing away I tell you. I spent yesterday and most of this morning reading about what I should (or rather shouldn't) be eating and most of this afternoon reading about what exercise would be best for tackling my 'problem' areas. This latter topic plunged me into a depression as I foolishly asked the family members sitting around the room what they thought my problem area was and they all came up with different areas. I eventually stormed out the room as Father of the Children was getting into full flow on my fifth area. He even had the audacity to veer onto mental areas not just physical! He says he didn't realise I just wanted my main one, like that makes me feel any better! Rather than stew indoors at my lot I pulled on my wellies and headed out over the open fields and jolly bracing and uplifting it was too. If you're getting stick on the home front I thoroughly recommend a good charge across the countryside to let off some steam, here are some fabulous wellies to get you on your way.

Oh my, have you even seen anything as racy as these Hunter - Regent Montpelier Brown Leopard Wellies from Sarah Coggles? Go on bring out your wild side and be daring. You'll be the talk of the local dog walking set!

icon icon

There's something unbelievably glamorous about these Hunter - Fitzrovia Tall Black Wellies from Sarah Coggles? I'm not sure if it's the wedge heel or the classic ankle strap with polished metal buckle and contoured Hunter logo. I think it could be a bit of both!

Well, we made it! Happy New Year to one and all. I hope you have had a tremendous festive season. After 17 continuous days of house guests we now find ourselves alone and it's scarily quiet this afternoon. I've not even had a moment to think about resolutions for 2012. Father of the Children was very quick to suggest some for me this morning, he's obviously been thinking about it for some time. Some do not even warrant a mention as he must be living in fantasy land to even contemplate suggesting them. Others have opened up whole cans of worms I bet he wishes now he'd not mentioned! His points on food and alcohol consumption are probably worth taking on board but not until I've finished the Christmas cake, my body weight in mince pies that are lurking in the cupboard and the remnants of a case of rioja and some rather tasty Taittinger fizz! If you can bear to drag yourself away from the fire and put down your glass of mulled wine here are some stunning coats to don for that annual family New Year's Day walk.

The stunning coat is a must have item with it's removable fur trimmed hood and fully removable quilted lining, including sleeves.

I do hope you are having a pleasant and somewhat jolly festive season. Things are going splendidly here and I think I may have found my new calling in the couple of days I've had off. You see one of our presents was Glee Karaoke! I have just got an 'A' for Madonna's 'Like a Virgin'! Father of the Children definitely thinks I have the X Factor, he says he's never heard anything like my voice in his life. Youngest Child has just updated her BBM status - 'Mum doing karaoke - worse that cringe-worthy' I'm not letting their comments affect me, they just don't appreciate raw talent....off for a spot of Lady Gaga.
